In addition to receiving an associate’s degree in marketing from Western Technical College, there are multiple options a graduate can take. A graduate can go directly into the workface allowing them to acquire positions that would not have been possible otherwise as well as transfer their credits to further pursue their educational goals and earn a bachelor’s degree at another school.

After graduating I worked at a mortgage company for a few years trying to sell home loans, but got tired of the roller coaster of income. I started in customer service at Inland Marketing Services (now called In*Tech) almost 4 years ago and was recently promoted to Service Team Manager. Project management helped me immensely as that is what I do on a daily basis for my customers and clients.
I took a semester off after graduating from Western, and then I decided to go back for my Bachelor’s at Winona State. I will be graduating in fall finally, and the thought of grad school has crossed my mind, but I don’t know if I’m ready for that plateau right now. I can honestly say that taking the knowledge I gained from Western has made me a better and more well-rounded student. In retrospect, I kind of wish I would have transferred into Viterbo because of their transfer agreement (Winona didn’t take nearly as many credits), but I love WSU, and I would recommend it to anyone.
